I can connect to D_C and this NZ guy, apart from that, I have no freaking luck. Did anyone try installing .Net version 3?

I hope for our sake, that this connectivity problem is in the netcode, and nothing to do with our ISP.

I got to watch you guys play but I froze the game so many times haha.

Anyways I didn't even know there was a .NET 3.0 out there! I'm really not sure what the underlying issue might be because it seems D_C can play connect to people in Asia (latency is another issue though) so I'd really be interested to see which ISP he is with. It could be those underwater tubes just aren't good enough compared to the rest of the world haha

Im with Westnet and im on a 512kb. I do believe you all are on quicker ones than me. I have .net 2.0 installed aswell and not 3. I didnt know there was a 3rd version.........Not sure if thats causing a conflict.

and then I went went stupid and got killed lol (STILL getting hit by that jump whiff C into grab)- I think I'm getting old

Watched PS and IK play.... and until I see Heb or P play, IK takes top spot, easily.

if you don't want to be in, let me know. I know ppl suffer from lag etc, so treat it as a mcdonalds star. I'm doing this to promote more competition because those with lower ranks will practise more.

I also now saw Derrick, PS and Heb play. I would love to see Derrick and IK play.

Any ON.com regulars can nominate players with a ranking and I will add them to the list.

Finally tried some online matches today. Yes indeedy, I don't know how to play KOF 98.

Keep messing up simple combos like Chris' dp p grab, close c, fwd a, and... nothing instead of qcb x 2 k super.

Somebody run me through the main differences between 2k2 Ryo, 2k2 Mai, and their 98 equivalents?

I can't believe there are people that "don't know" how to play 98 ... I guess I'm just too old school (or plain old)

Ryo (98): Crouching B->Crouching C "harder" to link. Far B is nuts. Has two additional moves (hcf A/C which is command throw and can juggle, qcb A/C which has autoguard and can followup by dp A/C). Animation for hop D is same as Jump D (5 frames start up so it's pretty fast)

Mai (98): df + B isn't cancellable. EVER. So bnb would just be Standing/Crouching C -> qcb A/C. Otherwise she seems about the same sans the qcfx2 rush DM in 2002

98 Ryo has uber-abusable qcfx2+P DM! Not the safest move out there but you gotta love the counters.
