Got my hands on an, umm, educational version of Gyakuten Saiban 3 for the DS yesterday. Finished the first case, and I'm already pumped: Much better than all the other intro cases so far. Can't wait to go further into the game.

All I have to say is...the localisation of PW3 is brilliant.

ROFL. PW is so awesome. Just finished the 2nd game. Not as good as the first but still riveting. My favorite character is probably Ema even though she's only in one case. Skye sisters > Fey sisters

Finished the 3rd game. Wow. Awesome. Truly an incredible series. Is it wright (hehe) to say that that the PW games are visual novels? I've never played one before, but if they're anything like PW, I may start looking into them.

I wouldn't call PW a visual novel, too much actual animation, no sex scenes, etc :P

Well, technically it is a digital novel, but probably leans more towards an adventure hybrid in terms of presentation. As for others like it, I hear good things about Hotel Dusk and Trace Memory (which I heard has a different name in PAL regions) but I haven't tried them yet myself.

Its called Another Code in PAL regions. I've tried it. It's more puzzle oriented and you can move around in real time from a kinda RTS viewpoint. I wasn't too impressed with it. There's virtually no NPCs so the story is basically told through the ghost that accompanies you on the island.

I look forward to playing Hotel Dusk tho. I hear good things about it.

Hotel Dusk is a great game, with a good story and some interesting figures in it. If you like a game where there's a lot of emphasis of exploration and collecting items to use at certain points, as well as liking a good plot to the game and being able to stand reading a lot of text, you ought to like it.

As for Phoenix Wright, I just got PW3, so I'll be playing through that one now.

I didn't like Hotel Dusk very much at all. Atmosphere aside, the story never struck me as being involving, random forced GAME OVER due to bad conversion choices are something that should have died back in the 1980's, and far too much wandering around trying to open random doors that get unlocked without any notice.
