Fans of Capcom's lawyer adventure game, assemble!

Having worked through PW1 and PW2, I'm now playing Gyakuten Saiban 3 in Japanese, and I'm on the third case. All I can say is this game had better be localised soon, because it is too great not to be. Heck, I'd buy it just for Godot's awesome one-liners.

Also looking forward to GS4 coming out on DS in April (the first game of the series designed for the DS, so it has all the special features of the last case of PW1, and then some), since the main prosecutor apparently moonlights as a rock star, and Phoenix has somehow turned into a piano-playing hobo. Oh, and Ema Skye. <3

Is it not out in Europe yet?

I think the second game is worth playing even if it doesn't add anything over the original GBA release, if only because of the last case which is quite a thriller. Also, the pop culture references and Franziska's overuse of the word "fool" and its derivatives made me lol.

Beaten the 2nd game, Justice for All, once and replaying the cases all over again. Because it's that awesome. And yeah, I loved how Franziska abuses the word 'fool' during the trial sessions and whipping everybody to kingdom come (including the poor Judge). Still like her character, and for those who haven't played it yet, expect a bit of a suprise at the end when it comes to her.

I never knew anyone could make a game about defense lawyers, prosecutors or ANYTHING related to law where the term 'fun' could be derived from it. It became apparent to me then that Capcom stood up to the task and quite possibly delivered it well.

A lot of the characters, no matter how their role are, can be instantly likeable or hateable, according to the situation - and the whole aura of the courtroom gets intesified whenever you provide new evidence or prove someone that they're lying between their teeth.

Now I just hope that Capcom picks up GS3 for an english release. And probably look around for someplace which has the 1st game (but that was horribly hard to find, to begin with)

P.S. JfA Case 4 case is epic.

GS3's last case is OMGWTF epic D:
It connects a lingering storyline thread almost seamlessly between GS1 case 2, GS1 case 4, GS2 case 2, GS3 case 1 and GS3 case 4 to an awesome finale. I'm on the last court scene of the game now, and it looks like the conclusion is going to be quite a stunner.

If this game is not localised I'm going to kill someone at Capcom USA.

First few localised names...Godot is of course, still Godot (yay) and Chinami is now called...Dahlia. Quite a fitting name in more than one way.

As per the previous games, it's region free + contains the English script, so very import friendly.

I bought the first DS game finally, now that they've gone and rereleased it for $20. I'm on case 4. It's a lot easier and more straightforward than I expected but fun is fun so who cares. But something I don't get, I was sure I've seen sprite rips of Mia in the defense attorney position yet this game treats it like there was nothing else before and - well, case 2. So what's the deal? Prequel? Out of order? I don't want to wiki it because I don't want to get spoiled on the cases.

You play as Mia in some cases in Gyakuten Saiban 3.
It's coming out in English in September.
