Spectral vs Generation

Postby r3v3n4nT » Wed Dec 06, 2006 03:05

2D fighter, recently got it in arcade, semi interesting (except... well, typical reaction here when it comes to 2D fighters - nobody wants to play me), nothing special about it though, feels like a KOF with air dash, gfx aint spectacular, game almost feel Vampire Saviour 2-ish, characters apparently from two separate games - "Generation of Chaos" and "Spectral Force" (have neva heard of them), though they do seem to be likable designs.

Just wondering if anyone seem/played it.

and seems to be made by sum chinese guys (IGS), but convos/etc in game are all written in jap. ara~ >_<

I've seen the game a while ago in HK which never took off.

Basically if I recall it's a fighting game by IGS, which is pretty much Taiwan's largest (and most famous) game publisher for the arcades.

The Spectral vs Generations is basically taking characters from another company's turn-based strategy game's characters and putting them in a fighting game. <-- correct me if I'm wrong

I don't recall anything that's particularly outstanding though. Unfortunately I haven't played the game at all.

I believe there's a PSP version that should be out by now already.

PSP version of SvG is available now at Play Asia, if you're interested.

I wanna order it, because it's just 15 bucks :3

argh, i wont be playing that anymore anytime soon, arcade screwed up the machine, when u insert token for 2P, credit goes to 1P, so u cant versus at all, friend spoke to the manager and he just liek "we'll look at it" with a "wateva, dont care" attitude, we decided we wont ever play there again.

Ah yes, the other company PenPen is referring to is Idea Factory. You can find the main site for this game here:

http://ideaf.co.jp/spectral/vs/generation.html

From what I've heard the game is only above average, like a B-. However, I definitely like the character designs.

I enjoyed it. The sprites are a tad on the small side but it played alright.

However youtube has recentally released several combo videos of it.

Its riddled with infinites.... :-P
