It happens all the time. I do it to people too, you can be pulled out of a jump. What infuriates me the most are teams of five who don't really aim, they just all rush you while blind firing. I also dislike the lack of symmetry in all the new stages.

That shit infuriates me to most.

I can see grabbing someone out of a jump. But I'm talking about being grabbed once I've jumped over the grabber and have actually descended pass them. I know its a function of lag but it seems like their rubber banding me back for the pulldown. It's annoying.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the buddy org team crap either - particularly since the levels are rather tight this time around. Free for all helps in that you don't encounter phalanxes but you're assured a bullet to the back of the head for every kill you register (small levels yes?). I'd actually like to try Free for All on Stunken Ruins and High Rise since they're a bit more spaced out.

The buddy system would benefit us more if we were actually a team. But you know, we hate actually coordinating our shit. I'm pretty sure our mics were made for mockery and erudite repartee. Plus I'd rather people fear me, not fear me and you. It's less fearsome that way. :P

LOL not exactly team players are we?

After some experimenting I love the riot shield now. It was slow and dumb in UC2 but now it seems to block a lot more (even melees from the front), and you can unequip it to run and climb, which to me seems like it might end up being almost broken considering grenades can be thrown back now.

Speaking of which, has anyone actually done the toss grenades back thing? Does it automatically toss the grenade back in the direction it came from or does it only go in the direction you're facing? If it's the latter that's going to be pretty hard to get used to.

Oh some dickhead actually killed me with my own grenade. The timers really help with that.

I'm stunned by Dark Souls. Demon's was already one of my favourite games, but this is so much more. It's overwhelming. I can't take a step that another gigantic, beautiful and intimidating new area opens up. Half the time I push forward anyway because I have no idea how to get back.

I miss the Nexus though, that place was so otherworldly. Now it feels like you're always on the run, which works too actually.

You want masochism?? I made my Dark Souls character a thief. A very thin thief, even. Man I'm gonna get pounded....

Interestingly enough it's still pretty tough to create a passable looking female. Good to see somethings are consistent

Fuu: Do you have any trouble pulling off the kick and jumping slash in actual fights? I can do both easily while walking around but once I engage someone I have significant difficulty pulling off either (locked on or not locked on)

Shiny: No worries - I had a rough time as well so our team-up probably wouldn't have lasted too long. UC3 seems to go one of two ways for me - either great or horrible.

yeah it's actually not that immediate, I'm thinking it will take some time getting used to it.

WTF is with the skeletons in the graveyard not giving you souls when they're defeated??? At this point in the game they're pretty much beasting me (or were until I two handed a mace) - managing to kill them but getting squat for my efforts is kind of a burn...

I know there are only ten days left, but I finally got my hands on the UC3 MP preview thingy. Is anyone still playing? lol

I'm still on it here and there, but being at max level sucks. Giving Batman a try, hate the sandbox approach.

Almost at maximum coolness level on UC3. Plus, my custom villain is a murderous sandwich artist, all decked out in Subway regalia.

Tuesday, kgo.

EDIT: Isn't there some bonus beta players get? Wasn't it gold guns in UC2?
