Apparently you can now trade TF2 hats etc for actual games

Sooo you could be a F2P TF2 player and trade so rare random hat drops for free copies of L4D etc??? That's alot of free content potentially. Interesting technique

All I can say is 'peer pressure'

I pretty much just go pubstomping with friends. With the average skill level on Valve servers being so low it's not hard to carry teams by ourselves, lol

So what do you think of the new weapons etc? Things have gotten a bit... ridiculous since you left (Phlogistinator, Pomson 6000, Huo Long Heatmaker - I'm looking at you)

Mann vs Machine update

Adds co-op horde mode: RED and BLU combine for a six man team vs. the GRAY robot mercs (some of which are giants). MvM apparently offers updates and loot to the coop experience - no idea how this effects your multiplayer loadouts (if at all). The whole thing hits on Aug 15th

ON has a handful of TF2 players from way back - will any of you return for co-op MvM action?

Ehhhh I dunno. Not really keen on fighting AIs...the main reason I played TF2 for so long was that I found the versus action to be fun enough, and as Valve gradually diluted it my interest in the game fell off a cliff. Not much confidence in their ability

As for what I think of all the weapons added - basically they all fall into one of two buckets:
1) Highly situational and/or gimmicky. Also annoying to play against (see pretty much every new Soldier weapon since his original unlocks)
2) Most players don't know how to use it but skilled players will dominate with it easily (see Pomson, Wrangler)

I still pretty much use vanilla loadouts with all the classes I play (the exception being Pyro but I don't play him that often).

I got stuck in a lobby for about an hour waiting to get put in a co-op game before giving up. I'm going to have to wait for some friends to get online so we can make our own party.
