My guess is the online patch is coming when the demo comes. Seeing as the demo has online capabilities, if I read that news right.

This kind of worries me honestly, that patch has to be pretty godly in order to be released on a demo. I really really hope it is that godly *crosses fingers*

Xian from Cross Counter Asia (whose video content majorly focuses on SFIV) is originally a KoF player and is providing KoF13 content. Sure it'll help well with exposure considering how lots of people are following the channel.



There's some tournament footage featuring him in the channel too. Good stuff all 'round.

Okay so I just finished all 340 trials



There are technically 20 to go once High School Kyo and Takuma the 2nd are released, but for now it's all done.

Barring a sudden and much hoped for jump in my local scene's interest in this game, what would you suggest I do now to help promote the game? Online play is obvious, but is not necessarily engaging content, IMO.

im facing a problem here
i usually share CMV's and tutorials with the FGC
except these videos being posted by snkplaymore with loops and juggling combos
and other videos that use juggling without counter hits
i want my people to play kof13
here we have three communities for fighting games

1- sfIII 3rd strike: they are top level players and known all over the world making big tournaments including top 3s players from Japan and USA (next tournament on 30-12-2011 featuring RX, Kokujin and Periot from Japan)
if they ever see the loops in the combo they will just say its broken game no matter how i say its not easy to do combos.
I dont know what they will say if they see the latest SNKPLAYMORE Clark or Athena free loops combos...!

2- KOF : who are all adults playing all kof's since 98 at least
all they say about kof13 is its so easy and cant be compared to kof02um plus we dont care about the graphics.
im still trying with them but even when we gather in the weekend they just play kof02um or 98
one of them told me:"what a crappy game, every one can do high damage combos now"

3-SSF4 : most of them are new in fighting games and ssf4 is their first tournament level game.
so far they are the only ones interested but complaining that kof inputs are so hard but they are exciting.
but they keep asking us the "kof players" why u dont play the kof13?
but they are taking it seriously

help me with your ideas

now i really cant help it unless the kof players join me and we show the others how technical and good kof13 is...

The people who give reasons for not playing KOF should be left alone.
The only thing that will change their minds is lots of people playing the game and having fun.
The best way to do that is to have events with new players, that's why you should focus on the SFIV players.
You don't have to play with long HD combos to enjoy KOF.

Best thing is to hold free entry tournaments. Of course... that's expensive.

The only tourny area closest to me is Next Level. I heard last night that their is no KOF community which is why they haven't had anything for XIII yet. I'm considering going out there the start of next year to see what's going on. I'd go now, but times have been hectic with the holidays among other things.

Turns out I may be moving to California sometime late this month / early Jan. So perhaps I can find a group to nest within.
I'm sure there has to be some networked group in the area I'm moving to, that supports our lovely series. ^_^
