For the looks of it, SNK is going to release details about the game monthly (I remember they did something like that for the arcade game)....

The thing is, that a month it's yet to pass from the last announcement, and there is time for at least 2 (or was it 3?) more announcements as long as they follow the same schedule (page update / news release for about the 10th of the month), so we are probably not going to know anything big until the game is really close.

Evo might be the exception to that, though; I wonder how complete will be the version displayed there, if we judge by the E3 and the trailer, it's probably not going to have anything significantly new.

Yeah, this is a pretty long contest actually. SNKP is going to release the news in bits, so I don't think we won't have any conclusive results until the game is out.
