keep in mind that poll was very restricted to "characters that obviously had a chance or would make sense to put back in," eg "shermie is dead" etc, which didn't make sense because rock would be a little shota kid around this time, but the person in charge of that poll was arguing that it was because he was "popular", so apparently that person liked to double-talk. hell, she exempted blue mary from the poll under the slight suspicion that billy kane's introduction, even though certain people would remind everyone that it was not likely, would lead to ryuji and blue mary being dlc characters, so that poll is very flaky! not to mention the small sample group it surveys from

also, it's atlus forums. that should say enough
Yeah it's true a lot of those Atlus members are a little crazy and their stuff should be taken with a grain of salt. But I gotta say they had the strongest poll so far , with some good top picks. Who knows , I hope they do it. I mean at least give us one single team if possible.

That's amazing XD. Not even kidding , was totally thinking of making a Kirby color for him but I went with Grimace instead.

I took a break from KOF this week for SC and other things. Going to play both but I just needed a small break from KOF to clear my head.

You know I never noticed until now but even while playing other games my inputs and timing are still on that KOF13 mindset. Things seem so much easier now for some odd reason.

Thinking about making up a combo for Ash and checking out the patch.

King of Fighters XIII: CLIMAX for arcades. Looks like at the bare minimum it'll include all the console changes.

Will people really go to the arcades? Will this be an upgrade? Can arcades afford a new kit? Will there be new characters and a subsequent re-release on console? Worrying times to come again.

Today's SNKP blog post is talking about 'changes from the home version.' So yes, it looks like there will be additional changes from the console version of the game.

That said, it looks like they're only talking about balance adjustments/bug fixes so maybe they'll be patched into the console version?

The Professor from MMCafe has already translated them:
There's changes listed for only 8 characters, and from the way it's written, that's apparently all.

Shen
- Shen will no longer receive a counter hit penalty when he's hit during his Far D
- Shen will gain some power meter when he bounces off anything stronger than an EX projectile with his Danken(Projectile parry)

Ralf
- Fixed issue where Ralf and Raiden's positions will change and command has be input in reverse when doing Bareback Vulcan (DM) > MAX Cancel >NEOMAX

Saiki
- Fixed Normal throw so that it no longer raises the opponent's meters.

Benimaru
- Fixed issue where doing cl.D>HD bypass will make the characters switch position when the opponent is facing back

Billy
- Took out invincibility on HD bypass

Raiden
- Changed damage on short hop & hyper hop C from 72 to 70

Flame Iori
- Fixed issue where MAX canceling too late from normal Maiden Masher wouldn't target lock the NEOMAX.
- Changed input frames for canceling from Maiden Masher.
- Fixed issue where repeatedly blocking low would display his standing block for a split moment.

Hwa
- Changed cr.B so that it can be HD bypassed.

Some notes from the location test from the Professor:
(The following writeup is an edited re-post from the BBS.)

-KOFXIIICLIMAX thus far seems to be basically just a port of the console version. No new characters or real changes. We'll be hearing more about the game from seasoned players later on, but it seems highly plausible that they won't have anything to report, except "it's great because there's no netplay lag!"

-The title screen is now black, as opposed to the white one from the original arcade and console version.

-The character select screen is the same as the console version with all the characters unlocked. There's a slight change in the way that EX characters are picked. In the console version, you pressed the start button to switch between the normal version and EX version of a character. In CLIMAX, the character changes to the EX version when you're "holding on" to the start button. Meaning, you need to hold on to start and press a button to select them.

-The 5 custom slots are gone in color select. It looks pretty much the same as the original arcade version.

-Practice mode is still available.

-The backgrounds are the same as the console version. Meaning that the new stages like Esaka and Karate are there, but the older stages like Japan are missing a bunch of sumo wrestlers, and the USA stage's huge blimp doesn't have a TV screen on it.

-Right now, the game isn't running on a NesicaxLive enabled cabinet. Meaning it's probably running on a normal TypeX2 PCB. It shouldn't be taken as a sign that the game will be released on PCB though, since this is only a location test phase. Still, it was kind of surprising that there were no signs that the game might use Nesica network features, like player points or custom colors. Then again, we might be speaking too soon, who knows.

-Photos of the handout sheet are here and here.

-Video by Sugarboy here.

I am feeling a bit down lately. I meet so many andy robert and takuma played pure keep-away that is depressing. The way some people play is just gross. repulsive. I can beat most of these people by now, often fairly easily, but that isn't the game i wanted to play.
It boggles my mind that one guy i met could escape every single throw, like he trained for that.

if mlg acts, they're acting in a way that will actually kill kofxiii due to its notoriety as a poverty fighter, so in short, that would be fucked up

ok, no idea how to link directly twitter posts but it was a youtube mistake.
@MrMLGAdam
Adam Apicella
@SirScoots we're releasing a statement soon, this has nothing to do with any actions from MLG, automated Youtube thing.
We are disabling content ID on some of our videos which we believe are causing Youtube to flag videos we do not own
