Which fansub are your Elfen from?

Shinsen-subs got the DVD rips up to ep6 then the damn ADV whatever company nail em. Pity. Good quality for burning collections.

I cant wait IY-F to finish their OAV. >_<

Get the episodes subbed by Anime_Fin. The OAV (i.e. Episode 14) was subbed by a fansub group called

, which I read did the subbing work for Elfen Lied in conjunction with Anime_Fin.

Got it already. I also got AnY & Saiyaman's Raw version. i just need that darn slow fansub IY-F to complete my collection on DVD burning. then I'll make nice printing on top of that.

these characters do some really random things...

still have to watch it tho, stupid cliffhangers... Chibi K and Shikyoh would love this...

Watch the subbed version before even considering to buy the DVDs, this is what I do. And this caution is even more better when you are considering the purchase of a very disturbing material like Elfen Lied.
Edit: I did that for Ghost in The Shel Stand Alone Complexl, Scrapped Princess and Wolf's Rain. ;3

Well... I saw the first episode, and I liked it. All gore-like animes are OK for me, and I never found anything very disturbing in Elfen Lied (I've seen a lot of things in TV, so...).

BTW, the Elfen Lied artbok special edition vol.1 is 40USD o_O (here).

Although intrigued so far, I think the story is thin and the plot is weak.
And if you haven't ever been exposed to Shikyoh links, it IS disturbing.
But I plan to use it in that pron H study one day.

I liked Elfen "Leed". I don't watch too much anime, and it was the first (and only) hyper-gory one I've ever seen, so maybe that's what sold it to me.

Admittedly, the story and plot are lacking: we do not have a very clear idea who are the Diclonius and how they came about to the world. Furthermore the general and his ambitions are unanswered and left hanging. These could be because the manga is still ongoing and I read that from Episode 8, the plot differs a lot from the manga. Hence, they might had been unable to accommodate the other characters and sufficiently develop the story.

The main part that made up for it were the characters and their strong personalities.

I would explain more but I can't be arsed to research and write about them while I'm at work! Maybe later when I get home...

As regards to the "Leed" debate, according to the subs, it IS Elfen "Lied" because the title is taken from a german poem of the same name... or something like that.
