New games for Orochinagi to cover.

So Gunsmith recently posted on the Orochinagi Facebook page about covering some new/different games.

What sort of stuff would people want to see?

I'll start by saying maybe some Shmups as you can still play them in an arcade (actually something in common) and there's quite a userbase. Wasn't there an independently made Shmup released on the Neo-Geo AES not so long ago? Also there's the odd one that gets released for the Dreamcast still. Would be cool to cover that stuff.

Anyway, there's one suggestion from me.

So I ask again, What does everybody else want?

Shmups would be nice to see. ON could cover some Touhou haha.
Also, there are a bunch of good indie games made with RPG Maker out there, so we could look at those.
Like Yume Nikki, .flow, Corpse Party, stuff like that.

I have independently been writing on my blogger for awhile regarding games from past consoles. Could be fun to mix it up, maybe a column called "Gaming Treasures". And we could recommend games, or turn away titles we never wanted to play again.

If you want to cover other games, all I'm going to say is make damn sure you get a subject matter expert to do it, otherwise there will be no reason for people to come here rather than visit one of the other specialist sites like DustLoop (for ArcSys games specifically) if they're looking for game information.

oops, too late, but so far, it's news only anyway. we can't replace dustloop, no way, we're just going to do an srk and cover games we really shouldn't, yet somehow post news first, and keep our viewers informed.
