Berlin Summer Meeting 2005 - KoF2k2 Tournament-Report + Vids

Hi folks,

as the weekend is over and I'm alive again here the English language report, results and videos from the multi fighting game tournament held in Berlin/Germany on the past weekend from 19th-22nd August.
I'll concentrate on the KoF2k2 tournament part as it's my main game and "unfortunately" (due to the HSF tourney not taking place) the only game I was playing at the weekend.

Competition this time was very tight....

. Even tighter as I had expected!
There were A TON casual matches this weekend. It's too bad I have no proper camera, else I had recorded my ass of but I could only record the tournament final....
In the end it was a 16-people tournament bracket.
It was played double elimination best-of-three matches.

The best German players were gathered and attended this time, this was why the competition was SO tight this time. It was great

I started off winning my first three matches in a row where my 3rd opponent was Hamburg's [NsB]the Hungy Wolf the player that later went 2nd place..... I beat him in this match-up. The fourth opponent then was the later tournament winner, Hamburg's [NsB]gamebaka. He send me to the losers where happend what had to happen: I had to play against Hungry Wolf again in the loser bracket final and lost this time which got me third place overall... I'm not unhappy about it as the top3 was my aim. The first three places are pretty accurate as for the skill representation. No too big surprises during the whole KoF2k2 tournament.
Final was between the two clan mates from Hamburg/Germany and gamebaka took it.

Edit:
I had to remove the original sound due to the fact that it only was noise and occassional sound FX from a near Tekken 5 TV,

So I dubbed it with music. Hope you'Re alright with that.

The music is cool--can you divulge which specific tracks they are?

Also, it looks like you used the PS2 version of 02.

The Yoshida Brothers track is called Storm. It can be found on their first American album. I can give you their albums if you want. Just gimme a PM.

What's the song on the third vid? I've heard it before a long time ago and it's driving me nuts trying to think who it could be.

Links went down somewhen. The hosting person didn't even tell me but can't blame him as he of course hosted MY files for ME so I can't ask for more than that.

I'll re-upload for you if at least TWO people post here and tell me you want it.
