MLG Dallas NOV 3, 2012 King of Fighters 13 Side Tournament

Hello Everyone,

My name is Carlos, and I am the community manager at MLG for Sony PlayStation fighting games division. Due to a huge miscommunication with myself and the KOF community we had a very poor turn out for KOF 13 at MLG Anaheim. As a result we lost the game on the circuit and have been put in a position of searching for new games to replace it. I am personally not content with that so I have decided to run a side tournament at MLG Dallas on NOV, 3 2012.

I realize there is sooner MLG event in Raleigh NC in Aug but that is running at the same time as Summer Jam and Big E is a good friend of mine and I do not want to steal any possible competition from his event.

This tournament is unsanctioned in MLG and will not follow the continuation rule. This will be a standard FGC rules tournament with a twist as follows.

Double Elimination Bracket format:
Best 2 out of 3 to Winners Finals
Best 3 out of 5 Winners/Losers Finals
Grand Finals will be first to 7 clean with no bracket reset.

All Characters are legal (except Hwa Jai jk).

There will be NO ENTRY FEE for this tournament. Paying to enter the MLG Dallas Venue will automaticlly make you eligable to participate in this event. I will be putting up a 500$ pot bonus that will be divided for top 3 placers. Anyone participating has the option of paying 10$ that will go directly into the pot and will be added to the overall pot total.

Registration: Will all be done online through this thread since I will not have time at the venue to do any real late registrations (I will still be working at the event) If someone would like to volunteer to do a registration at the event im more than willing to let that happen. with the brackets being listed on Challonge.com. I will do my best to seed this tournament.

Stream: I am 99% sure we will have internet at the venue so anyone that would like to stream this can do so otherwise there will be no stream (Although I might have a trick up my sleeve). This is for pride only! I will however do my best to get MLG to stream the matches to decide top 3 for the tournament.

This tournament will be run on PlayStation 3 console. Deal with it
