I don't download anime anymore, lol, I pretty much just stream it.

Finally caught up with Gintama (that Love Plus parody two-parter was awesome) so will probably check out some other stuff. Fate/Zero is looking good.

It really depends on what languages you can get. For example I can sort of get raws just fine, so I usually stream or search for the raw a few hours after the show was broadcasted and then I don't search for it anymore (which has this little downside that many times I'm like "did you just see that?" to my pals and then they all stare me with "no one is subbing that boring (to us) stuff).

While that case can be a little bit extreme (like, even people that get much more nihongo than me still prefer subbed things) it kinda also applies to general things. For example anime and stuff has always been stronger in following in sudamerica than in the US and other ENG speaking countries, so the Spanish speaking equivalents of baka updates (databases that lists releases) are insanely complete with releases and stuff, and many times they are shameless enough to add DL links to their "it was released" listings, since we usually have no official provider for the stuff we see in the end piracy is rather rampant (as you can't really get things the other way and no one is bitching about releasing copyrights).

Kamisama no Memochou... meh, although the yakuza are quite amusing.

Gosick = No. Comparisons to Death Note are retarded. It's a cute detective anime, and that is all.

No 6 = Not bad... not great either

Deadman Wonderland is good so far!

Mirai Nikki has a very strong start although the comparisons to Death Note are very clear and as TA put it, Highlander.

Boku ha Tomodachi ga Sukunai seems like another Harem Anime, however, I already like the socially dysfunctional characters. My gf was quite upset at the overt sexualisation of young girls, so hopefully I'll get to watch this on my own.

Gojira wrote:I think I finally "get" Usagi Drop now. I wasn't sure what to think of it at first because it's definitely slice-of-life and the kind of things you usually want to happen in an anime just don't happen very often on this show. That can spell boredom for a lot of people. But now I realize that the story, the characters, and the setting are all speaking to an entirely different set of values from other anime. It's not about relationships anymore, it's all parenting. The value of a character in this show, no matter what they can do otherwise, is in how good of a parent they are. The kids and what they do - be it cute or annoying or dumb - don't really matter, as long as they're alive and growing, and in many ways they end up representing an extension of their parents. Or in the main character's case, he sees aspects of himself in someone else's child.

The thing that's most interesting about it is that there's just no anime like it that I know of. The closest comparison I can think of is Clannad: After Story, but even that was a lot more about Touma riding the wave of his relationship as far as it would take him and was portrayed in more epic fashion. Usagi Drop isn't nearly as dramatic, though when something bad happens (even a minor thing) it can seem that way because the main character takes his role very seriously.

Anyway if you're looking for something different to watch and aren't looking for a complex plot, it's good.
I've been trying to watch this, but... I'm a guy looking for something fun to watch or maybe something interesting. Usagi Drop is interesting, but not something I'm interested in. Parenting scares me. I think I'll run away from this anime now.

I'm gonna look at this, because it looks pretty.

Edit: After defending Boku ha tomodachi as totally not a ecchi harem anime designed for 15 or 35 year olds to masturbate over, I've just watched episode #2 and I'm going to shut up now and pretend I never got involved in such an argument. Those who liked Lucky Star will love it and at least the girls are... erm er... look older.

(I still might watch it).

The socially dysfunctional characters are pretty much what drives BokuTomo. The two main girls are bitches, the underage nun is just... What you'd expect a 10 y/o to be, the sister is delusional as hell and possessive in regards of her brother, and the nerd is a pervert beyond all hope. Fortunately, the male is totally not useless and shows he can be a bro (in the comrade way), like in episode 3. And yeah, it is a harem, fortunately with a more interesting male than the Masaki Tenchis and Urashima Keitaros who have plagued the genre.

I like this show.

This is what I anticipate every weeks with Fate/Zero and Hunter x Hunter 2011. I have much less time to watch anime since work started so I choose my series wisely.

Persona 4: The male lead lacks extra ooomph and the shadow routine feels tiring. Persona 3 would have been a far better material for anime.

Mirai Nikki: The pacing is all over the place, so the yandere is the only reason to watch it, imo.

Gawd, I hate it when I procrastinate with totally seeking series'. I was able to find a way to DL the episode of Puella and I'm mighty hooked, and the OST is really nice. xmad

ps. If I've only known the series sooner, I could've saved some moohlahs to get me a Mami figure. D:

Gonna check Fate/Zero as well, any comments on that?

Well, Fate/Zero is definitely better than the Fate/Stay Night series. So far the scenes involving Rider and his dorky master have been the highlight for me, but I've yet to feel like the story is really taking off, after seven episodes.

Fate/Zero is leagues better than the F/SN anime.I'd like to think that it's because of Ufotable who also worked on Kara no Kyoukai,a studio that cares about the source material unlike Studio Deen or JC Staff.Anyway enough anime weaboo nerdage I dare say it's the best show this season.

I recently finished up watching Ao no Exorcist. I liked it, but I was kinda disappointed in the way they ended the anime. My girlfriend tells me that this is because the manga is still ongoing. So, er, yeah. That went well, I suppose.

Nichijou seems quite unblockable for some reason

Other than that Ranma is soo good. Im loving the old school factor.

Still watching Mirai Nikki, it's good, it's still a rip off, but it's good!

... all that's left is Maware Penguindrum which is turning into a serious melodrama... but loving the OST and eye candy...

Actually running out of stuff to watch... is there anything else ?
