Input delays with monitors

I upgraded to a 24" LCD this weekend. I was previously using a 17" Samsung LCD TV (lol) as a monitor. So this monitor is crazy good I can run on 1080 res (1920 x 1080) but for some reason I'm getting input lag on nfba (the emulator for ggpo) with my keyboard.

For the first ten minutes I can do hcb,f motions for free. Run hcb,f. Buffer into hcb,f. Ten minutes later all I can pull off is dp's (Iori) or fwd As (Orochi Yashiro). When I try this on winkawaks it's perfectly fine.

Anyone know if there's been something like this reported elsewhere cause it's really strange I can't even say it's the monitor cause it seems to be nfba and I don't know if there's a setting I can check to correct this.

Sorry, certain monitors and TVs suffer from lag. Return the monitor if you can! If you plug this monitor into your ps3, you'll probably get it there too, regardless of hdmi cable etc, so I've heard.

I even heard one of the Sony Bravias suffer from this!

imo, don't make any quick buys, get the model number and research the internet like hell.

err I take it you didn't notice how I said this applies to fba only ... kawaks was fine

Anyways I hooked up my old monitor and it seems it's fba all along just I never noticed it till now hahahah

But most LCD TVs nowadays come with a "game" mode which will help reduce the lag. The one I got (BENQ E2400HD) has no lag through HDMI from my laptop or 360 (game used was SF4)

I've seen the BenQ monitors around, quite cheap, so you're confirming they're good?

It makes me wonder, if you're using ps3 or even pc to watch tv on a monitor, why spend the extra to buy a tv?

Nah I bought a 40" and it came with a free 17". Which I used as a monitor for the PC. I got the BenQ cause it was hella cheap. This is all in my room btw

All my consoles are run on the 40". All of which is in my living room.

So now I have a spare 17" LCD TV for nothing ... I was thinking of making dual screen and sticking the TV above my case ... don't know what I will do with it though hahaha
