If Wii really will sell at $99, that means you can get a 360 and Wii for the price of a PS3 (360 will probably have a price drop before the other 2 consoles launch).

You just lost my respect....the controller is just for tilting, did you watch the part where the guy says is only 6 six degrees which is only possible for tilting? The Wii is 360 degrees and point also, thus it is not motion sensing like the Wii-mote.There is big difference between tilting with the controller and pointing with the wii-mote.Besides Nintendo didn't come up with motion sensing,it was done and implement many years ago before Nint came up with it.ShadowSonic wrote:I'm watching the Sony pre-E3 conference.
The PS3 controller is a wireless Dual Shock 2...with motion sensing.

Dammit, Sony, you just have to rip off everything, don't you?
Launch details:
November 17th 2006 launch in US
20 GB hard disk variety will cost $499
60 GB hard disk variety will cost $599
Re: the controller.
I think Sony really missed the point. The idea behind Nintendo's controller is to SIMPLIFY the control interface. That's why the controller only has a single analog stick and 2 buttons and 2 triggers. The motion-sensing remote is meant as a more natural replacement for the other analog stick.
Sony's design, however, adds this new feature to the already dense set of commands on the existing Dual Shock 2, potentially making control even more complicated. I'd love to see someone move their controller (holding onto it with both hands, mind you) all over the room while moving analog sticks and frantically trying to press L1 + X at the same time.
Or maybe I'm just bitter at seeing Sony trying to take credit for someone else' innovation yet again.

1 Premium (or whatever it'll be called) PS3 Pack... 600USD
1 Premum XBox360 Pack with 1 game included...400USD
1 Nintendo Wii...200USD
subtotal...600USD
Potential X360 price discount...50USD
Total...550USD
And if we add the following factors:
-Some important games for the PS3 (the new Sonic game, Resident Evil 5 and forgot what else) will also be released on X360.
-I don't have a HDTV, and I don't plan to get one.
-Consequently, I won't notice any graphical difference.
-A lot of exclusive PS3 games look pretty "BLEH" for me. Sorry, guys, but I'm tired of Metal Gear Solid, and the MGS4 trailer surely didn't make me say "zomg PS3 is awesome guyz!!!11".
Sony and its PS3 can go to hell. X360 and Wii are the only choices left (for me).
