Orochinagi Fighting Game Community

The in game opening for 剣客異聞録 甦りし蒼紅の刃 サムライスピリッツ新章 or Kenkaku Ibunroku – Yomigaerishi Soukou no Yaiba – Samurai Supirittsu Shinshou . I’m not even going to act like if I can bring sense to that kanji, I have seen the title translated as Revival of the Azure and Crimson Blades – New Chapter of Samurai Spirits and we’ll assume that’s spot on. Usually better known as Warriors Rage 2, this is a fabled kusoge and probably the worst title that SNK produced for the PSX (which is an under statement).

Bad graphics for the time, the fighting is sluggish and the game mechanics don’t make any sense. The characters are filled with either completely useless moves or or have this overly useful do it all move, the character design is too simple (specially for this saga, but that goes for Kazuki and Sogetsu as well). The music isn’t bad, but it can’t even speak the same glorious language that the NeoGeo Samurai Spirits track do…. Well, as you can tell this game just ranks either badly or average….

This is the second op which I love, in fact the song plays in my head every now and then for no apparent reason. For what I remember this isn’t actually the second op, but you needed to watch it in the gallery section of the game.
