In my opinion, covering old games hurts the new games, because people are lazy as hell. Why learn something new when you can stick with something you know? This essentially hurts sales, and essentially hurts production of the games we love.
However, at the end of the day, ON is here to serve the public.

At one point there were no xiii videos in Japan, and a billion 2002um videos… imo, that makes ppl think xiii is the less popular game, which was not the case at all! ppl are silly, but it’s easy to see how damaging exposure of an older game, over a newer one can be. Votes are neck and neck dammit! Nooooooo 2002 needs to stay buried!
I dont think it hurts,more varied content is always good in my opinion, especially when it seems the KoF scene is growing considerably and many newcomers may not be familiar with a lot of SNK games and characters. Perhaps they’ll be interested in what they see and be more supportive of SNK future products.
Well, I feel that speaking of old games would be nice when there are some pretty good exceptions.
For example, a few weeks back ET and Baouzi, two of the best Taiwan players were in Nishinippori, and ergo that week’s even was pretty amazing. That would have been good front page material.
Well, speaking of “old games” as only 98 and 2002 is a little bit hurtful. 95 still get play in japan with many pages dedicated to it and some pretty good tournaments. There are also some other games that get some pretty strong play, like motw or last blade 2
Discussing old games is absolutely not harmful to the newer ones. If any it helps them by drawing in more players who may become interested. I know at least 3 of my friends left your facebook group after you banned discussion of older KOFs. Those were players who could have been weaned onto 13.
Also who is this giga d guy? I don’t think he knows anything about the kof scene in the uk.

I think “old” games should be covered! It is what got orochinagi started! I dont understand where the notion that playing 98 or 2k2 is a bad thing or those games all of a sudden arent good anymore. This might be coming from the new kids on the block? However I dont think it will make anyone lazy, infact those Nishinippori vids actually got me very interested in KOF XIII and the reason why I started playing. Will I ever like XIII over 98? No, but im not going to stop playing XII either. What do I know, im old!

So I think SNK in general would be the way to go. Id like to see a main site for SNK games just like you have ones for example, Capcom. Hell id be willing to do the grunt work if need be. I think ISSAC’s angle is spot on. Obviously, we know why Persona wants to cover the new Persona game lol

ultimately, if we cover more games, we can draw more attention to KOF. It works both ways though. And I don’t want ppl thinking, oh, forget buying xiii, i’m gonna play 98 for free!!!
I don’t mind how many people leave the facebook group because it’s XIII only, that’s the point – my aim is to build XIII. Saying that, they should have stayed for the chat, coz in there, anything goes.
If the YES vote wins, I’ll look at perhaps the odd sprinkle of old game footage, but there will definitely be a priority towards the latest KOF. Ehh who’s trolling those votes? LET’S GO “NOOOOOOO” :3

KOF 2002 UM came out in Japan in 2009 and US and 2010. It’s not an old game! I’m surprise I don’t see 11/NGBC that much. I would probably like to see more coverage on SNK related things then on universally all fighting games (thats just me). Combo videos of 13 rule – keep them coming.
